Dr. Bill Obert

Dr. Obert grew up locally in White Oak and attended Colerain High School. He attended Walsh College as an undergraduate where he received his bachelor of science in Biology. He then graduated from The Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He has been with Covedale Pet Hospital since 1999. Dr. Obert enjoys working with cats and dogs primarily. He also enjoys surgeries that involve soft tissue, orthopedics and the use of our laser. To relax, he likes to spend time outdoors especially camping and fishing with his wife and three children. He also unwinds at home with his dog and four cats.

Dr. Colleen FitzGibbon

Dr. FitzGibbon was raised in Delhi. She attended Northern Kentucky University for undergraduate studies and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Dr. FitzGibbon came to Covedale Pet Hospital in April of 2002. She mainly treats cats and dogs but also has an interest in exotic pets. Her current menagerie includes her little dog “Mel”, “Ted” the cockatoo and “Larry Leezard” the bearded dragon. Dr. FitzGibbon’s hobbies are bird watching, gardening, and reading. She also enjoys trivia games and all things Monty Python.

Dr. Elizabeth Mancini

Dr. Mancini is originally from Cleveland, Ohio but has lived on the west side of Cincinnati for most of her life. She is a graduate of the College of Mount Saint Joseph and she has earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University. She has over ten years of experience as a veterinarian and enjoys working with dogs and cats. Dr. Mancini is excited to be part of the Covedale Pet Hospital family and still have time to devote to her own family. While not at Covedale, she enjoys raising her four children and teaching them to care for their family pets: two dogs, one cat, four fish, two frogs and countless sea monkeys. She also looks forward to date nights with her husband, and baking and decorating cookies and cakes.

Dr. Melinda Ketring

Dr. Ketring joined the practice in January of 1999. She is originally from Dayton, Ohio and spent her entire college career at The Ohio State University. She graduated in 1997 earning her degree in veterinary medicine. She gets to enjoy the best of both worlds by working part-time and being a wife and mom full-time. Her special interests include spending time with her friends and family (including her pets, of course), playing classic video games (Donkey Kong rocks!), and teaching her kids music appreciation through repeated exposure to anything by Bon Jovi.

Dr. Kim Witalis

Dr. Witalis graduated from Ross University in 1997. In addition to working part-time at Covedale, she also puts in many hours at a local emergency clinic. She is currently working on her specialty license in exotic mammals. In her spare time (spare time??) she enjoys traveling, reading, diving and spending time with her multiple pets which include dogs, cats and several birds.

Dr. Kathy Hutton

Dr. Kathleen Hutton is a 1986 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in eastern Ohio, and received her B.S. in biology from Heidelberg College. She has spent most of her career practicing in Clermont and Hamilton Counties, including a four-year stint at the Emergency Clinic of Cincinnati, where she learned the value of a good night’s sleep. Her interests include internal medicine of dogs and cats, training a well-mannered puppy, and client education. She is at home on five country acres with her dog, Dallas, two cats, and her pottery studio. She is an avid birder, with a Life List of over 420 species, and enjoys travel to exotic locations like Duluth, Minnesota; Cape May, New Jersey; North Dakota, West Virginia; Lake Erie; and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for birding.
